Thursdays, 5:30 pm - Student Government Suite
The Campus Communications Committee (CCC) links student government to the rest of the student body and works on projects aimed at improving the ways in which people can get more heavily involved with the Union. The CCC puts out a newsletter every week, the "Union Pulse," to keep everyone updated on what is happening in the Union and elsewhere on campus. The CCC will also be spreading word about the brand new Union Events Calendar to all clubs and students so that it's no longer a mystery what's really happening on campus each week. Additional projects include the institution of "Senate hours”--scheduled blocks of available time for every member of the Senate--which will give you the chance to speak with your student representatives in an advertised place for a certain amount of time.
A one-stop shop for club officers and anybody else looking to promote their organization's events and business on campus. Visit the site at http://myrpi.org/adlib.
The Union Pulse is a weekly newsletter sent to subscribed students, staff, and faculty members and available via printed copies in the Union. It is a joint endeavor of the Student Senate and the Union Admin Office. Key features include a weekly spotlight on a particular Union-based club or organization, updates from the Senate floor, and big social events of interest to the student body.
The Student Senate represents you, but how well do you know the Senate? We're looking to reach out to you via residence hall programs. Through informal discussions, brainstorming sessions, and student forums, we hope to hear what you think about RPI, and what you'd like us to change!
